This page explains the consumer legal guarantee of conformity for products purchased from ScentAI, a brand operated by HASFROS, LDA. This guarantee is separate from the 14-day right of withdrawal.
1. Legal guarantee
Consumer goods sold in the European Union are covered by a legal guarantee of conformity. In general, the seller is responsible for defects or lack of conformity that existed at delivery and become apparent during the applicable legal guarantee period. The standard EU period is at least two years from delivery, subject to applicable national rules and any longer protection provided by law.
The product should correspond to its description, type, quantity, quality, functionality, compatibility and other characteristics required by the sales contract and applicable law.
2. Examples of lack of conformity
- The product is damaged or defective on delivery.
- The product does not match the description or agreed characteristics.
- The product is incomplete or the wrong item was delivered.
- The product lacks legally required instructions, warnings or accessories.
- The product cannot perform the ordinary functions expected of goods of the same type.
3. How to make a claim
Contact us at info@hasfros.com and include your order number, a description of the problem, photographs where relevant and your preferred contact details. We may request information needed to assess the claim.
4. Available remedies
Subject to applicable law, remedies may include repair or replacement and, where appropriate, a price reduction or termination of the contract with a refund. The remedy will be handled within the period and under the conditions required by applicable consumer law.
We will not charge the consumer for a remedy required because of a lack of conformity, including reasonable delivery, return, labour or material costs where applicable.
5. Exclusions
The legal guarantee does not normally cover damage caused by misuse, accident, improper storage, unauthorised modification, normal wear or failure to follow the product’s instructions. These exclusions do not limit mandatory statutory rights.
